Falstaff
Rich ruby with a slight garnet sheen. Very pronounced and juicy nose with rhubarb and cinchona bark, followed by lots of blackberry, cassis and dark honey. Superb on the palate, smooth and rich, plenty of finely meshed tannins and a very long finish - a dream of a bottle!

In beautiful condition. A hot summer cooled near the end of harvest. It is beautifully precise, offering black cherry and blackberry fruit nuanced by shaved black truffles on the nose. Satiny and silky tannins are polished. The delicious, full-bodied expression is rich, long, layered, and full of life, with power, energy, drive, and generosity. A lingering finish of currants, tobacco, and white truffle notes is tantalizing.
